Those Soccer girls.

East Surry Lady Soccer Seniors 2012...

They were the reason I began playing soccer in the first place. 

& last night, was the end of a life of soccer that I learned so well because soccer as I know it, only involves them sharing the field with me.

Playing with out them next year will be tough..almost like starting all over.

It's sad, really, really sad.

I can't help but have a huge knot in my throat and that pit in my stomach just got deeper and deeper.

as Coach recognized them on the field. 

What will be even sadder than their absence on the field,will be no longer seeing their faces as I walk down the halls of East Surry.

I'm not even going to begin thinking about the fact that the next senior night, will be my own.

So Ladies,

I hope you never forget all the songs we sang to the top of our lungs.

I hope you get flashbacks of all the times you yelled at coach.

I hope you laugh when you think of 64.

I hope you smile when you think of holding hands and praying together

I hope your heart memorized the way you felt when you walked off the field for the very last time. 

I hope I stay in touch with you all but even if we drift apart. I know I'll hear of you guys again because you're bound to do great things.
